Shagaya CSP Plant will be producing 180GWh/year with a total area of 250 hectares and avoiding the emission of more than 81000 tons of CO2/year
This well-known technology consists in producing electricity using Sun Radiation. Sun Rays are concentrated in the Solar Field in order to heat up the heat transfer Fluid (HTF) which will be used to convert liquid water into steam that, at a later stage, will move the steam turbine producing electricity. One of the greatest advantages of this CSP Plant is that it has the ability to store energy in its molten salt tanks that will be used to produce electricity during the night or bad weather conditions.
